Sahil Khaleque is the Canadian-based co-founder of Pioneer Your Dreams Agency, also known as, PYDA. Pioneer Your Dreams Agency is an influencer and public relations agency that specializes in connecting established influencers with notable brands to run highly profitable campaigns. PYDA was founded in 2020 by Sahil and his co-founder because they were bored and dissatisfied with the landscape of influencer marketing.

Where did the idea for Pioneer Your Dreams Agency come from?

My co-founder and I actually interned at the same media agency. The agency was so poorly run that we realized we could provide a much higher level of service. We started out as an all-in-one marketing agency offering everything to everyone. Once we realized our strength was creating viral content, we honed in on running influencer campaigns.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

The way you set up your day is everything. I have a wake up call with my business partner at 4:30 a.m. Then, I go to the gym for about an hour. I’ll jump on my laptop by 8:00 a.m. and get to my tasks and meetings for the day. I’ll always end my day by writing in my gratification journal.

How do you bring ideas to life?

The biggest thing every entrepreneur needs to understand is that in order to generate revenue you must solve a problem. The bigger the problem you solve, the larger potential you have to generate revenue. In the beginning of my business journey, I was very focused on solving problems. I would go up to people and just ask what marketing problems they were facing. By asking these questions, we formulate solutions and bring those ideas to life.

What’s one trend that excites you?

I’m excited about working on some of the most notable influencer campaigns that are gonna be heard by millions. I am also inspired to create more motivational content to help people reach their goals.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

Expressing gratitude daily really does help sustaining a healthy mindset and keeping positive during challenging days.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Get a mentor. But first, you have to be ready for a mentor.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

If you’re single while building your company, you’ll probably move further than if you’re in a relationship. It really depends if you have that specific person, but if you do not have that specific person, do what you can to minimize distractions.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Discipline is everything. Go to the gym, get a good night’s sleep, and cope with stress accordingly. Clearing your head is how you stay focused and keep moving forward.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Building a strong personal brand is a huge asset when it comes to your overall marketing strategy. You have to think about what someone’s gonna search to find you. And you have to control the narrative. Your personal brand will take you very, very far and we’ll also open you up to a lot of different things.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

One of our first client experiences solidified why we choose not to mix friends or family with business. That moment made us realize that there are some people you don’t work with and there are some people you do work with. You take those lessons, move on and go on to the next one.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

This is the prime time to develop AI software. We’re coming up on another digital age where we are going to see the same thing as the dot com boom, except with AI.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

Microphone. Good audio is everything when it comes to creating content.

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive?

One app that helps me shape my morning and my productivity for the rest of the day is Alarmy. You set a time to wake up and it works not only as an alarm, but it also gives you a bunch of puzzles, brain teasers, motivational quotes, math equations.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

“$100M Offers” by Alex Hormozi. This book will teach you to build an irresistible offer. If you don’t have an irresistible offer, then you don’t have a business just yet.

I’ve also learned to say no to things that don’t align with my goals and priorities, in order to stay focused on what’s most important.

Balancing personal life and work as an entrepreneur can be a challenge, but it’s important to make time for both. I make sure to schedule in time for my family and personal hobbies. I also prioritize my work tasks based on their level of urgency and importance. I’ve found that setting boundaries and being intentional about how I spend my time has been key to achieving a healthy work-life balance.

What are your future plans for Groundhogg?

We’re always looking for ways to improve and expand Groundhogg. In the near future, we’re planning on releasing a range of new features and integrations that will make the platform even more powerful and user-friendly. We’re also looking to expand our team and grow our customer base, in order to continue providing value to businesses of all sizes.
