Can you tell us about how you started MaidThis?
I started MaidThis in 2013 after I had a frustrating experience trying to find a reliable cleaning service for my vacation rental property. After experiencing the frustration of finding a reliable cleaning service for my own vacation rental property, I recognized the market’s need for a professional and dependable cleaning service tailored to vacation rental properties. I started by cleaning properties myself and eventually grew the business by hiring employees and creating a team.
What is your favorite part about leading the MaidThis team?
My favorite part about leading the MaidThis team is seeing our employees grow and develop in their roles. I love seeing them take on new challenges and responsibilities, and ultimately seeing them succeed. Our team is like a family, and it’s great to see everyone come together to achieve our goals.
What has been the biggest obstacle you’ve had to overcome while running MaidThis?
One of the biggest obstacles we’ve faced is finding and retaining quality employees. We’ve had to learn how to create a great company culture and work environment that attracts and retains top talent. We also had to figure out how to effectively train our employees and give them the tools they need to succeed.
What’s next for MaidThis?

Finally, I find that travel is a great way to gain new perspectives and stay inspired, so I try to take at least one big trip each year.
